Earth Stewardship
In essence all land is special, even sacred. We hold Glen Ivy land as our responsibility. We work to keep balance for the natural world and those who live on it or visit it.
We strive to be sustainable, to minimize the impact of our having the privilege of residing on this land, and to be a model for others in our living.
Organic Orchards And Gardens
There are 20 acres of certified organic fruit orchards at Glen Ivy. Over 1,400 trees yield a year-round abundance of apples, peaches, almonds, citrus and avocados, to name just a few. Careful stewardship creates a healthy, vibrant food supply and a sense of care for the land that is tangible.
Glen Ivy has a community-wide recycling program and we compost much of our kitchen waste and landscaping trimmings. These materials are returned to the land to enrich the soil, which is the base for everything that grows here.
Alternative Energy
Our commitment to care for our planet includes two solar panel arrays, making us the largest private solar energy source in Riverside County.
